Get to know the real me

Hi everyone In this blog post, I’m going to do something a little bit different today, I’m going to do a get to know the real me. You already no the medical side of course but I want you to know who I am what I’m like and so on. So let’s start with the basics.

My name is Robyn Harris, my full name is actually Robyn Victoria Harris and I am an aspiring writer / Author. I am 22 years old but I will be 23 on the 27th of September. I know what you guys are thinking. That makes me feel well old. How am I nearly 23? Time just flies so fast it’s scary: I live at home with my parents and my brother who is 25 years old and my little dog called Winston. Honestly his adorable I love him to bits. Every morning, he has to have a ride on my wheelchair. It’s like a ritual. He’s just like my own little therapy dog.

What’s was my childhood like?

Through out my childhood you may know by now that I wasnt confided in a wheelchair like I am now during my teenage years and adulthood. I had a pretty decent childhood growing up. I was a very creative child. I used to write stories in my little notebooks and I used to love making things out of anything and everything. I remember when I used to go out on walks to parks or the woods and I would collect everything like pinecones different shaped leaves even acorns and I would create a nature collage out of the things I collected that day.

I loved hanging out with all of my friends down the park and we used to get up to all kinds of mischief there. It was super fun. So yeah my childhood was great. There was definitely a few ups and downs here and there it wasn’t all perfect. But growing up was amazing.

What my personality like?

So I would say that, I’m very easy going. I have a great sense of humour and I love making people laugh even if I do pranks on them. I love jump scares there my favourite. When you first meet me I tend to be more shy and not really that talkative but once I get to know you more my personality changes and I become me. When I first meet people I can get a little nervous a bit closed of. I do find it hard sometimes. It’s hard for me to trust people to. Trust is very important to me because I’ve had some experience in the past that wasn’t great. But yeah this is what my personality is like.

What things interest me and what do I like doing?

Well things that interests me the most is learning about accessibility and I also love writing about it to. Ever since I was younger writing and English was always the subject that I’ve loved and it still is to this day. I love baking anything from cakes, cookies and brownies. You name it and I’ll do it. My favourite thing to bake is a Lemon drizzle cake. It’s just so easy and so simple to make and my whole family loves it!

I also love live music! Live music is honestly the best! I’ve been to a lot of concerts in the past like Summer time ball, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift and Niall Horan and I’ve got two upcoming ones this year which of course I will blog about after.
