Do you love being outdoors and how much do you love nature? Now Knowle Park which is located in Kent, is one of the my most favourite parks ever. I go there most weekends especially in the summer. It’s so relaxing and just perfect. It has a little bit of history about it to which is so cool. Deers roam around the park as you can probably tell in this picture. I don’t know what it is about deers but I find them so fascinating and beautiful whenever you see them close up. They have this sort of magical feel to them which I love. Its not just about the deer that I love, I love the nature aspect of it. You see I love photography and at Knowle there’s so many amazing photo opportunities. I took so many that day because honestly it was such an amazing day.
Do you know what the best thing is? That dogs are allowed inside the park but only on leads which is perfect for us because we couldn’t leave our little Winston at home. He loves it there to the smells the scent of fresh grass and squirrels. He loves chasing them. This park definitely holds a special place in my heart. Not many people come to this park which I love. I mean I don’t mind but less is better as I hate crowded spaces and being in a wheelchair amongst crowd’s is terrifying.

what’s the disabled parking like?
Now let’s talk about parking at knowle park, the vehicle route from the main road to the car park includes: uneven surfaces.
But This is an open air car park with grass, loose and compacted earth surface. So its a little harder to navigate but once your on the path everything’s smooth and flat.
Parking is free for National Trust members and Blue Badge holders, but charges apply for all other visitors There are more than 10 Blue Badge parking bays and the dimensions of the designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) surveyed are 240cm x 480cm.
What’s the accessibility like at Knowle Park?
As you all no by now, accessibility is very important to me when I go out and I always research and make sure that places like this are wheelchair friendly and in my reviews, ill be completely 100% honest with you guys and this is definitely 100% honest.
so, The whole park is completely smooth and pathed out. Sometimes there are a few bumpy bits along the way but the paths are all completely flat end easy to navigate in my chair. and honestly there’s so much to see. Beautiful surroundings hills, flowers, trees. There is even a cafe where you can grab a tea or coffee on the way way. Unfortunately the café isn’t accessible but the tables and chairs area outside. Plus dogs are not allowed undid because of the food.
my dog id always charging in an out cafes and its a nightmare. When you’re walking around the park, there are so many deers wondering around but you mainly see them driving into the park on a really good day.
Knowle Park isn’t just perfect for dogs, its also perfect for children to there are a lot of designated picnic areas there for whenever its a beautiful summers day and so much space for children to run about and play.
So whether you’re visiting with little ones, furry friends, or both, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and have some fun.
