How accessible is Hever Castle?

If you love history then this is the place that you must go to! Hever Castle, located in Kent, England, is best known as the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of King Henry VIII and mother of Queen Elizabeth. My mum and one of her friends Jaqui we visited a couple of days ago to visit the garden and grounds and omg it was absolutely stunning! Unfortunately we went on one of the most coldest days. We even had to buy a blanket from the gift shop as it was so cold.

But it was honestly so worth it. The gardens were completely accessible and every where you turned there was always something amazing to see. It felt so surreal that I was actually rolling along the same grounds and gardens as Anneblyn. There were so many beautiful flowers. Daffodils and bluebells. The day we went was when they were celebrating the joys of spring.

Unfortunately the castle was not wheelchair accessible so I couldn’t go in but that was ok because I loved admire the gardens and the courtyard it was just so peaceful.

There were millions of photo opportunities here and if there were steps in the courtyard, there was always a ramp for me to go down them. But I hated them so so much. They were really unstable and quite scary so my mum had to put her foot down on them to hold it in place so it wouldn’t move.

In away it was great that they had ramps but honestly it was just so so dangerous. I avoided them as best as I could. We took my dog Winston and he loved it. Dogs can visit Hever castle but they must stay on leads at all times which is fair because of the flowers and grass. But my dog Winston is so naughty anyway cos he kept going on the grass and we kept having to get him of. It was funny and so cute

There was a little cafe there too but unfortunately because we had Winston, we weren’t allowed to go inside so we had to have tea and lunch outside m. It would’ve been ok if it wasn’t such a freezing day out. Honestly I was wrapped up so much that day but around 3:00 the sun came out. Finally.

But yeah we stayed 12:30 till 3:40 so about 3 hours looking around the grounds and I had a really great time there I would definitely go again but only if the suns out next time. But all in all I loved it.
