Chitty Chitty bang bang the musical review

As a child this was my all time favourite musical. When I found out that it was a musical at the west end, I knew I had to go. I went with my parents and my friend Niamh and we saw it at a theatre in Canterbury called Marlowe theatre which was closed to her house. Unfortunately because there was so much traffic we almost didn’t make it in time. But luckily we did but all the disabled parking were full so my dad dropped my mum and I outside the theatre but around the corner, there was a huge car park filled with disabled parking so we managed to get there on time. Thank god as I was getting a little stressed out.

When we arrived we met my friend Niamh and her friend Erin and we all headed in together. I’ve never been to this theatre before but it was massive. There were three theatres all in all but we went up to level 2. There was lift access and everything so we were able to go where we wanted.

We both grabbed a programme. I mean you always get a programme when you go to a theatre it’s tradition. I’ve got a whole boxful. When we went inside I was pretty impressed. The theatre was huge and there were loads of disabled spaces not just where we were which was so good. Once inside, my mum and Niamh and her friend sat in the disabled spaces while my dad had to sit lower down I mean that’s ok he wasn’t to fussed.

If your not sure what the film Chitty Chitty bang bang is about, it’s a fun story about a magical car and a family that goes on wild adventures.

An inventor named Caractacus Potts fixes up an old car, and it turns out the car can fly, float, and drive on its own. He and his two kids, along with a kind woman named Truly, go on a journey full of surprises.

They have to outsmart a bad guy named Baron Bomburst and a creepy man called the Child Catcher, who both want the car.

The story is full of fun, action, and magic—and shows how family and imagination can take you anywhere. There are so many amazing catching songs in it like toot sweet and me old bam boo. My ultimate favourite song in my opinion has got to be the old bam boo. I love that song.

I’m not going to tell you what part was my favourite as it will ruin the whole experience for you all but I 100% recommend this musical. The child catcher whenever she came on stage really made me and my friend Niamh jump every single time and so i definitely wouldn’t recommend sitting down at the front.

The child catcher was played by the amazing Charlie brooks and she was brilliant in it. Very scary.

After the show we all waited outside the stage door for the cast to sign our photos. I managed to get a photo and an autograph from Charlie Brooks which was very exciting for me because I’m a massive eastenders fan.

We also met the man who played Mr Potts who was also fantastic and we managed to get a photo and autograph from him to.

But all in all it was such a great day out and like I said I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who loves this movie as much as I do. All in all I would rate this show a 4 / 5 stars. It was amazing and the accessibility was incredible.
